Our blog post today will be short and sweet! Because we spent our day doing only one thing! Whale Watching! We booked our tour way back in March when we started planning this trip, and it is because of the tour that we found ourselves in Port Angeles. http://pawhalewatch.com/ We got to sleep in a little bit this morning and made our way to the boat docks around 9:30. After a quick orientation from Captain Tom and our Naturalist Brooke, we set sail around 10:30. Out into the Straits of Juan de Fuca we went, sailing right into CANADIAN WATERS!!! We sailed by Victoria, and around the strait giving us amazing views of the Olympic Mountain range and Mt. Olympia behind us. Ethan scouts the waters! We found something!!!! ORCAS!!!!!! We also spotted HUMPBACKS!!!!! Look careful. See the blow hole mist in the first photo... or as our naturalist said, it's actually Humpback boogers shooting in the air. The kids thought that was hysterical. The day was beautiful and clear and the water wasn't too choppy. Our temperatures are definitely lower here on the coast than what we had earlier this week. But we don't mind that one bit. Because of being out on the water though we did bring along our jackets to help with the wind. It let us stay out on the top deck for the whole day and it let us see a few more friends that way like these SEA LIONS and SEALS !!!! The kids loved being outside and out of the car today!!!! We spent about 5 hours out on the water! It was a really enjoyable day. We have now arrived about 1.5 hours south east of Port Angeles in the city of Bremerton. Our hotel is right on the Puget Sound, and we can see the Ferry Dock. We had a nice meal at the waterfront. https://www.anthonys.com/ A little surf and turf to fill our bellies after a long day. Tomorrow we will board that ferry across the Puget to SEATTLE!!!! Good Night!
